The results of FAME are published in several documents. You can download here the
FAME results will be also published in scientific publications. One output should be a book dealing with key issues of fish based ecological status assessment in rivers.
Our FAME results will serve as practical examples for application. In detail the various chapters will focus on topics such as:
  • fish species classification,
  • assessment of human impacts with respect to their relevance for fish,
  • the role of databases as prerequisite for ecological assessment method development
  • the principles of spatially based assessment methods and examples for the development of such methods within FAME,
  • the development of the European Fish Index,
  • comparison of different assessment methods including existing regional methods,
  • assessment of specific river types, such as Mediterranean rivers or large rivers,
  • and applied issues, e.g. fish sampling and end-users perspective.

The book will be published by Blackwell Science. It will be available in early 2006.
Further results will be also published in single papers. So far the following papers are finished:
